The Economy of Intelligence: Why We Are Opening the Lumina Agent Marketplace

STRATEGIC PIVOT

Lumina is transforming from a tool into a platform. We are building the Agent Marketplace Protocol (LAMP) to allow Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to monetize their analytical logic.

For the last 12 months, we have built a powerful "General Purpose" analyst. Lumina can take any CSV, retail sales, HR records, server logs, and find patterns.

But "General Purpose" has a ceiling. A general analyst knows that revenue is good and costs are bad. But they don't know the specific physics of Pipeline Integrity, Dental Practice Overhead, or Freight Tariff Auditing.

We realized that we cannot build every vertical solution ourselves. The world is too complex. But you can.

The "Knowledge Packaging" Problem

Right now, if you are a consultant or an expert in a niche field (e.g., Forensic Accounting), you have two ways to sell your expertise:

  1. Sell Hours (Services): You bill $200/hr to look at spreadsheets manually. This doesn't scale.
  2. Build Software (SaaS): You hire developers, build a cloud app, manage servers, and get SOC2 compliance. This costs $500k+ and takes years.

There is no middle ground. There is no way to just "sell the logic" without building the container.

Enter the Agent Marketplace

Lumina is building the "Container" so you can just ship the "Brain".

We are opening our platform to third-party developers. You will be able to write an Agent Manifest: a simple JSON file that defines:

  • The Persona: "You are a Senior Integrity Engineer."
  • The Logic (SQL Macros): Pre-written DuckDB queries that calculate complex metrics (e.g., "Corrosion Growth Rate = (Depth2 - Depth1) / Time").
  • The Knowledge Base: A text file containing industry standards (e.g., "GAAP Accounting Rules" or "CEPA Pipeline Codes").

Example: The Pipeline Risk Manager

Imagine an engineering firm that specializes in oil pipelines. They have proprietary formulas for predicting when a pipe will burst based on corrosion depth and pressure.

Instead of building their own software, they build a Lumina Agent.

The Developer

Uploads agent.json to the Lumina Marketplace. Sets the price at $299/mo.

The Customer

A pipeline operator buys the agent. They drag-and-drop their inspection data into Lumina. The Agent instantly highlights risks using the expert's logic.

Why This Beats the "GPT Store"

OpenAI has a GPT Store. Why is Lumina different? Privacy.

In the GPT Store model, the user sends their data to OpenAI. The custom GPT processes it in the cloud. For highly regulated industries (Healthcare, Finance, Defense), this is a non-starter.

Lumina's architecture is Local-First.

  1. The User downloads the Agent Logic (the "Brain") to their browser.
  2. The Logic runs against the User's Data inside the User's device (via WebAssembly).
  3. The Developer never sees the data. The Cloud never sees the data.

This allows us to sell "Apps" to industries that ban ChatGPT.
